Buzz

Tomorrow thicker cloud brings the risk of patchy rain to the west. Elsewhere it should be mostly dry, although scattered showers probably push eastwards across England. It will be mild, particularly in the south and east where temperatures could climb to 15C (59F) in sunny spells.

High pressure builds next week

By Wednesday high pressure will be dominating the scene, although Atlantic disturbances continue to bring the risk of rain to the north west. Sunny spells make it feel quite warm and in the east temperatures could reach 18C (64F).

On Thursday winds strengthen and cloud builds in the north. Heavy outbreaks of rain affect much of Northern Ireland and Scotland. England and Wales are expected to stay dry with the best of the sunshine in the south and east.

During the rest of the week the dry weather should continue in the south but temperatures drop a few degrees as cooler air filers in. In central and northern regions it is likely to be more changeable with wet and windy spells for a time. By Sunday drier conditions return northwards as high pressure rebuilds.
