Tonight the band of rain pushes southwards into northern and central areas but it fragments and fades away. Showery conditions follow on behind it into Scotland. Southern and central counties of England remain dry, and in the first half of the night it will be cold under clear skies. Later on cloud spreads into central areas but the south may remain clear with some patchy frost and fog forming the morning.
Tomorrow begins dry for most. During the day showery rain develops in Scotland and it moves southeastwards into north eastern England. It is likely to be cold enough for snow over the Scottish mountains snow. Southern and central counties have another dry day but there will be a lot of cloud early on.
