An Atlantic flow brings changeable weather during the rest of the week. The current expectation is that similar conditions will continue for much of next week with the driest and brightest spells in the south.

Wednesday starts fine in central and eastern areas. In the west it is cloudier and there are outbreaks of rain in Northern Ireland. During the day cloud and rain steadily pushes across the north and west. Central and eastern England have sunny spells this morning but skies cloud over this afternoon.
It will be cooler than recently with temperatures ranging from 8C (46F) in the north west to 21C (70F) in East Anglia. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight patchy spells of rain move eastwards over all areas and clearer conditions follow from the west. It will become chilly in the north.
Tomorrow brings a mix of sunshine and showers. Southern counties have the driest and brightest spells as high pressure over France weakly ridges towards the UK.
Friday gets off to a fine start but outbreaks of rain push across Northern Ireland and into south western Britain during the afternoon. There could also be some patchy rain in the north but elsewhere it remains dry, albeit with increasing cloud cover.
The weekend is looking quite cool and changeable. A west or southwesterly flow will be established across the UK bringing the risk of showers or longer periods of rain. Temperatures won't be far from the average in bright spells but it will be quite cool in the showers.
