Easter weather forecast

A White Easter for some?

Tomorrow northern and western Scotland have further spells of rain. Other parts of the UK will be dry and bright, although there is a risk of rain pushing into Northern Ireland. Very warm for the time of the year with temperatures close to 22C (72F) in places.

Warm to cold for Easter?

Through Wednesday patchy outbreaks of rain spread southwards across the northern half of the UK. In Scotland colder conditions develop and showers start to turn wintry. Southern and central  have another very mild or even warm day.

Thursday and Good Friday see cooler conditions pushing southwards. There should be a good deal of dry and bright weather. In the sun it still feels pleasant but nights will be chilly.

The Easter weekend probably starts off mainly dry and very mild. Later on a band of rain pushes southwards and much colder air follows it. The risk of wintry showers is likely to increase with snow possible in central and northern regions by Easter Monday.
