Much of the UK has a fine day but showers continue in eastern England and a few of them push towards the London area this afternoon. It will be chilly and windy, particularly in the east. During the next few days temperatures slowly recover and there will be quite a lot of dry weather. Unsettled conditions return during the middle of next week.

Saturday begins dry and cold in most of the UK. Sunny spells develop widely this morning but it will be cloudier and showery in eastern counties of England. This afternoon the showers push further inland towards the London area. Elsewhere it remains bright. Windy, particularly in the east.
Temperatures range from 8C (46F) in the north to 14C (57F) in the south. See the rain and lightning radar for the latest view.
Tonight showers continue in the far south east but elsewhere it remains dry. Clear skies in the north and west lead to a cold night with the risk of frost in places. In the Scottish glens temperatures could fall a few degrees below freezing point.

Tomorrow will be dry and bright in much of the UK. However, there could be showery rain in East Anglia and the south eastern corner. In the south temperatures are expected to be a little higher than recently.
During Monday patchy outbreaks of rain spread across much of the north and west. Central and eastern England remain dry. In southern and central areas it should feel warmer than in recent days.
Tuesday is looking dry and bright in most of the UK. The exception is the north west where outbreaks of rain are likely.
The dry conditions may hang on in the south and east of England for much of Wednesday. However, outbreaks of rain push across other areas.
The rest of the week is looking very unsettled. All regions have wet and windy spells as deep areas of low pressure push in from the west.
