Most of the UK has a fine Sunday but there will be a few showers in the south west. The next few days are looking settled. Temperatures begin to increase but it will be windy at times. During the second half of the week there are signs of more changeable weather returning....READ IN FULL

Sunday starts dry and chilly across the UK. Through the day sunny spells develop widely. Most places remain dry but there are likely to be a few showers in the south west this afternoon. Winds will be quite blustery in northern and eastern counties but in the afternoon sun it feels warmer than yesterday.

Tonight it remains dry. Clear spells allow temperatures to drop quite sharply and in the north a patchy frost develops.

Tomorrow will be bright and dry but windy. In sheltered locations it will be quite warm in the afternoon sunshine, particularly in the west.

Changeable later in the week?

The dry theme continues during Tuesday and Wednesday. Eastern and north eastern counties remain quite cool but elsewhere daytime temperatures steadily rise. In the afternoon sunshine it should feels quite warm. 

Through the rest of the week there are indications of it slowly becoming more changeable. Forecast details are uncertain but all regions could see some showery spells of rain. It is also likely to turn cooler.
