Unsettled outlook

Brighter conditions are likely on Sunday in the southern half of the country. In the north there could be some rain early on and later in the day a band of rain probably pushes into Northern Ireland, southern Wales and south western England.

During Monday showery spells of rain affect most areas. It will be quite mild but quite windy.

Unsettled weather is forecast to continue through the rest of the week, so all areas can expect wet and windy periods. Temperatures should be close to the average in the north and slightly above in the south.
