Driest and warmest in the south

Tuesday should be fine in England and Wales. In the north west wet and windy conditions return. By the evening heavy bursts of rain probably reach much of Scotland and Northern Ireland. The rain pushes southeastwards across much of the country overnight.

During Wednesday rain clears southeastwards. Brighter conditions return but scattered showers are develop in the north west.

Through the rest of the week a north to south split develops. Spells of wet and windy weather continue to affect the north. The south could see some rain too but there probably will be a good deal of dry and bright periods. The days could become quite warm in the south but chilly nights are likely.
