Tonight wet weather in the north west slowly pushes eastwards. Also outbreaks of heavy rain push into south east England and East Anglia. Elsewhere it stays mostly dry and it won't be as cold it has been recently.
Tomorrow outbreaks of rain gradually clear eastwards, but they may linger in the south east until the evening. Brighter and showery conditions follow on from the west. Temperatures will be similar to today's.

On Friday a ridge of high pressure brings dry weather to England and Wales. Scotland and Northern have a fine start too but in the afternoon it turns wet and windy weather from the west.
During Saturday heavy rain affects much of the north and west but the south and east should remain dry. It becomes windy in all regions, but particularly the north and west where gales or even severe gales are possible. The strong winds could cause problems for those of you planning fireworks parties, and in the north west rain could be an additional consideration.

Wet weather pushes southeastwards on Sunday but there is uncertainty about its rate of progress. Computer models show it becoming slow moving as it crosses south eastern England due to high pressure over the continent exerting its influence.
The longer term prospects are mixed. All regions could see rain at times but the south and east could have quite a lot of dry weather as high pressure over the continent continues to act as a brake on the eastwards progression of Atlantic disturbances.
