Summer forecast overview
Tonight the patchy rain fades away. In the north west clear spells lead to fresh conditions but the south east will be muggy.
Tomorrow should be mostly dry, bright and warm in the southern half of the UK. In the north cloudier conditions bring the risk of rain at times, especially to the north west. Temperatures could reach 25C (77F) in the south east.
On Tuesday much of the UK has a fine and warm day with sunny spells. In the north west it remains changeable with a possibility of outbreaks of rain at times.
Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny and very warm in the south. In the north west wet and windy weather develops and it steadily extends across much of the north.
Patchy rain should clear from the south on Thursday to leave dry and cooler conditions. High pressure is then likely to become centred to the west of the UK for the rest of the week. That suggests a good deal of dry weather with close to average temperatures, but later on it could become quite warm in the south.
