Unsettled weather continues in the coming days. During Friday and Saturday there is the potential stormy conditions, especially in the southern half of the UK.
Wednesday begins damp in much of the country. Through the day outbreaks of rain in the south steadily push northwards and at times they will be heavy. This morning there will be sunny spells in northern regions and in the afternoon it could turn brighter in the south west.
Maximum temperatures range from 10C (50F) in Scotland to 15C (59F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight patchy spells of rain affect the north and west. Central and eastern areas should be mostly dry.
Tomorrow wet and windy weather pushes in from the west. There could also be some rain in eastern England and there will be a lot of cloud.
Friday should be bright but scattered showers are possible. During the second half of the day winds strengthen in the south west as a deep area of low pressure approaches from the south west. Overnight heavy outbreaks of rain spread eastwards. Very windy conditions are expected in the southern half of the UK with computer models showing gusts of between 60mph and 70mph. The system could be the second named storm of the season and if so will be called Brian.
