The weekend weather will be mixed. Next week it stays changeable but late on it could become quite warm with some computer model runs showing temperatures approaching 21C (70F).
Saturday begins damp. Through the day patchy outbreaks of rain continue, and at times they could be heavy in the south west and north west. A few bright spells develop with the best of them in the north east. It will be quite windy.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in the north to 16C (61F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight it becomes drier and some clear spells form. In the north it will be quite chilly.
Tomorrow outbreaks of rain push into the north west but elsewhere it remains dry. Bright spells are likely with the best of them in southern and central regions.
Early next week wet weather pushes eastwards. In the north some heavy south bursts of rain are possible but high pressure keeps the south drier.
During the second half of the week a warm south or southwesterly flow could develop as pressure builds to the east of the UK. The north west of the UK probably has further wet and windy spells of weather.
