A change is expected this week. High pressure steadily builds bringing drier weather to the south and east. By the weekend it could still be quite unsettled in the north west. Elsewhere it should be fine and quite warm.
Monday begins cool and there is a scattering of showers. Through the day showers affect much of the UK and at times they will be heavy in central and eastern areas. Cloud will break at times to allow some sunny spells, with the best of them expected to be in the south west, and possibly the south east this afternoon.
Temperatures range from 10C (50F) in Scotland to 18C (64F) in the south. See the the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight it becomes mostly dry. Clear periods form and it will be quite cold.
Tomorrow looks generally dry but after a bright start cloud builds in the west Wet weather spreads into Northern Ireland and western Scotland overnight.
During Wednesday rain affects the north and west. The south and east remain dry and it will feel warmer.
