Map information

The maps go to 7 days ahead and are for 3am, 6am, 9am, midday, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm and midnight. They are generated using data from the Global Forecast System (GFS) run by the National Centre for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). The maps are updated twice daily.

The maps show temperature, wind direction and the dominant weather type for the time period.

Time stamps are provided to give an approximate idea of the local time for which the map is valid.
