An area of high pressure looks set to dominate, favouring settled weather. Rain will feature on several days, interspersed with drier spells.
The period begins changeable, turning unsettled around Tuesday 29 September, then settled around Friday 2 October.
A sharp change in both daytime and overnight temperatures is predicted towards the end of the period.
Mild conditions are in prospect, at least on some days, with highs reaching the mid-teens. Temperatures will be at their most pleasant on Friday 25 September, reaching 23°C. Later in the period there are signs of lows near 7°C, though that far ahead the timing is uncertain.
Rainfall totals look substantial, with around 68mm over the period.
