High pressure is on course for much of the period, bringing generally settled conditions. A number of days will see rainfall but there will be dry periods too.
A sharp change in daytime temperatures is forecast within the next day or so, and the overall trend is for temperatures to rise both day and night as the period progresses.
Warm or very warm conditions are expected, with daytime highs in the mid-to-upper 20s. Peak warmth is expected on Wednesday 24 June, with highs around 28°C. The coldest night looks to be Thursday 11 June, with lows around 2°C. There is a notable spread between the highest and lowest temperatures, so conditions will vary considerably. Sheltered and rural areas may see patchy frost during clearer nights.
Rainfall totals look substantial, with around 117mm over the period. The wettest conditions are probable on on Wednesday 10 June.
