An area of high pressure looks set to dominate, favouring settled weather. A number of days will see rainfall but there will be dry periods too.
The period begins changeable, turning unsettled around Tuesday 29 September, then settled around Friday 2 October.
A sharp change in overnight temperatures is expected towards the end of the period and the overall trend is for daytime temperatures to fall through the period.
Daytime high temperatures will be comfortable at times for outdoor activities. Temperatures will be at their most pleasant on Friday 25 September, reaching 23°C. Later in the period there are signs of lows near 7°C, though that far ahead the timing is uncertain.
Rainfall totals look substantial, with around 73mm over the period.
