An area of high pressure looks set to dominate, favouring settled weather. Several spells of wet weather are likely, with only a few fully dry days in prospect.
A sharp change in daytime temperatures is set to develop later on, around Monday 27th July, and the overall trend is for temperatures to fall both day and night through the period.
Daytime high temperatures will be comfortable at times for outdoor activities. Thursday 16 July should see the best of any milder weather, with highs of 19°C. Frosty nights are likely around Thursday 23 July, when lows may fall to -1°C.
Rainfall totals look substantial, with around 84mm over the period. The wettest conditions are probable on on Tuesday 14 July. Colder interludes may bring a risk of sleet or snow.
