The overall trend is for daytime temperatures to fall through the period, and conditions may turn more unsettled as the period progresses.
On some days temperatures will be high enough to make the weather feel reasonably pleasant. Temperatures will peak on Friday 14 August, reaching 16°C. The chilliest spell comes on Sunday 23 August, with minimums near 2°C. Sheltered and rural areas may see patchy frost during clearer nights.
Rainfall totals look substantial, with around 116mm over the period. The wettest day looks to be Friday 21 August, with around 17mm possible.
