The pattern appears changeable, with neither high nor low pressure fully in control. Rain will feature on several days, interspersed with drier spells.
A sharp change in daytime temperatures is on course later on, around Friday 17th July, and conditions may turn more unsettled as the period progresses.
Very hot conditions are expected at times, with highs reaching into the mid 30s. The hottest conditions are forecast on on Wednesday 15 July, when temperatures may reach 36°C. Minimum temperatures remain comfortable, dipping to 11°C on Thursday 23 July. There is a notable spread between the highest and lowest temperatures, so conditions will vary considerably.
Rainfall totals could be significant, with around 50mm over the period.
