After a very mixed bank holiday Monday things are now changing. High pressure will bring increasingly fine and warm weather over the coming days. While forecast details for the weekend are still uncertain, current guidance suggests a fine Saturday with temperatures in the low to mid-20s Celsius across most of the UK. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and contribute to its ongoing development, explore the payment options, see below)

Weather forecast discussion

Tuesday starts with patchy rain in central Scotland. Elsewhere, it's mostly dry with variable amounts of cloud.

Through the day the light spells of rain in central Scotland steadily fade away. In England and Wales scattered showers develop, but Northern Ireland remains dry. Cloud amounts vary, with the brightest skies likely in southern and central regions. That's also where it will also be the warmest.

Temperatures range from 12°C in northern Scotland to 21°C in southern England. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

During Thursday showery rain in the northern half of the UK clears. Southern and central regions have a dry, bright and warm day.

A few showers could bubble up on Friday, but most places enjoy another dry day with sunny periods. It could be the warmest day of the year so far with temperatures peaking in the mid 20Cs.

The predominantly fine spell continues on Saturday, with just a few showers expected in northern Britain. Temperatures once more peak in the low to mid 20Cs.
