Warm fine morning after the deluge of yesterday. Posted by toppiker60

Scattered showers develop today but many places remain dry and warm. The early part of the new weeks sees similar weather, although showers probably become more widespread and heavy. By Wednesday an area of low pressure may bring more persistent outbreaks of rain to eastern counties, but forecast details are uncertain. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and contribute to its ongoing development, explore the payment options, see below)

Tonight showers steadily fade away to leave mostly dry conditions. Cloud amounts vary.

Tomorrow it's a similar picture. Scattered showers return, with the greatest risk of catching one being in the north west. In sunny spells it will be quite warm, although in central and eastern counties temperatures are likely to be a degree or two lower than today due to a keen northeasterly breeze.

More unsettled mid-week

On Tuesday sunny spells develop, but showers could be more widespread than in recent days. The heaviest ones are expected to be in northern and western Britain as well as Northern Ireland. Cool in the wet areas and near to the east coast, but warm where sunny spells develop.

Forecast details for Wednesday are very uncertain. There is a possibility of wet and windy weather pushing into eastern Britain. In central and eastern counties showers could be heavy, but there should be dry and bright periods too.

An area of low pressure probably brings unsettled weather to much of the UK on Thursday. Showers or longer outbreaks of rain are possible and it could be windy too.
