Much of the UK has a fine day, although there will be patchy rain in the north west. Warm in the south and through the coming days temperatures rise. Heatwave conditions are expected through the coming week and there is the potential for a number of consecutive days to reach or exceed 30C (86F).

Sunday starts wet in the north west of the UK. Elsewhere it is dry.
Through the day it remains fine and warm in much of the UK. However, there will be patchy outbreaks of rain in the north west and at times the risk of showers could extend eastwards across Scotland.
Temperatures range from 15C (57F) in the north west to 27C (81F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight showery rain continues in the far north west. Other parts of the UK will be dry with clear periods.

Tomorrow will be mostly dry and sunny, although it could turn wet in the far north west. Generally warm and possibly very warm in the south where temperatures could reach 28C (84F).
Tuesday could see patchy rain in Scotland. The rest of the UK has a fine day and it will be very warm or hot in England and Wales.
Wednesday is looking fine. Warm in the north and hot in the south where temperatures may climb above 30C (86F).
More of the same on Thursday! Fine over virtually the whole of the country and the warmth will be spreading northwards. In the south temperatures could be hitting 33C (91F).
