Warm weather hanging on

The weather across the UK follows a similar pattern to recent days. The west and north west have damp conditions, but elsewhere it will be fine. Central and eastern England will be very warm for the time of year. It's a similar story tomorrow, but during Sunday and Monday outbreaks push eastwards.

Friday starts with light rain in parts of the west and north west of the UK. Through the day the it remains damp in places, particularly the north west. Other areas have a dry day with variable amounts of cloud. Central and eastern England have the warmest and sunniest conditions. Windy in the north.

Temperatures range from 11C (52F) in the north west to a very warm 24C (75F) in the south east. See the rain and lightning radar for the latest view.

Tonight outbreaks of rain affect northern and western Scotland. Damp conditions are likely in in Wales and western England. Other areas stay dry.

Tomorrow showery rain pushes eastwards mostly across the northern half of the UK. Southern and central regions could see an odd shower, but there should be a good deal of dry and bright periods. Generally quite warm.

Mostly dry in the south

Further showers are possible on early on Sunday and in the south east they could be heavy. As the day progresses wet and windy conditions push eastwards across Northern Ireland and into western Britain. Central and eastern counties probably have a dry and warm afternoon.

Next week starts off with outbreaks of rain clearing eastwards. Thereafter, all regions are expected to have rather unsettled weather with showers or longer spells of rain. It could also be windy at times. Southern and south eastern England has the best of the drier periods. Temperatures close to the seasonal average.
