14 day outlook
Issued 22nd June 2021
Tomorrow a few showers bubble up in the southern half of the UK. There should also be some pleasantly warm sunshine in the south and east. Across Scotland and Northern Ireland outbreaks of rain slowly push southeastwards and some could be heavy.
Friday may begin with outbreaks of rain in the south and east. Wet conditions perhaps last for much of the day in East Anglia and the south east. Heavy showers develop in Northern Ireland, Scotland and north western England. Other areas will be mostly dry and bright.
The weekend is looking mixed. There should be some pleasantly warm spells of sunshine. However, heavy showers or more persistent spells of rain are a risk, particularly in the southern half of the UK. Guidance from computer models is suggesting the possibility of thundery downpours.
Early next week the mixed theme continues. All regions could have further showers but there should be dry and sunny periods too.
