Poor for me on the Wirral.  Radar says intense something, but ive got light to moderate rain with a bit of sleet.

Everywhere else close to the coast seems to be doing better?

Just found this, shows it quite nicely. Other cams on the western tip of the Wirral aren't white.

Looks like an area of snow over Deal, Kent and moving in to Dover. Can't find any cams there, though.

Sadly much of the precipitation in Merseyside and West Cheshire is rain/sleet.

Causing some horrendously icy conditions judging by reports. Nastier than snow in many respects.

Been reading at the Midlands Thread they also got rain despite subzero temps over NW Midlands toward your area.  Hope not to come here if going to rain.   Really boring this faux cold spell so far.

oh Joe, its awful!

There is a think layer of ice over everything. impossible to walk. People are falling everywhere. tonight
I got the train home at 8. The platform was an ice rink. One poor lady slipped and cut her head open.
I have a 5 minute walk home from the station. All downhill and our road and pavement was just another thick layer of ice. I just stood there for an age wondering how I was going to get down the hill.
Then I remembered. Socks over boots (in my case) are supposed to give grip. I'm here in one piece to tell you that they do 😂 Trying to stay upright whilst I swapped them over though must have been a sight. I found a handy car to lean on.
Nightmare. Total nightmare.

Nothing so dramatic here in Lincolnshire DP, but it feels very cold - freezing conditions all day. I did venture out to a local farm to get a sack of their potatoes. Sunday looks like snow here... 🌨

First snow of the season here. Currently a moderate fall, but it has stuck near enough instantly.

Hasn't half come down here in the last hour or so. It's probably about 3-4 inches here now. Good job I'm on strike tonight, otherwise I'd have been buggered coming home in the morning.

About a cm or 2 of of wet snow here - enough to cover everything in a blanket of white. Happy days.
Currently living at roughly 65m asl North of Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Too sleety too often last night, but some snow that's turned to frozen slush; untreated roads tricky. This morning, more snow but not that heavy. Hit heavy snow just a couple miles SE of home, and was very heavy around Lymm with some depth beginning to build (outside lane of M56 covered with snow). Got a lot lighter by Altrincham.

The spiralling area of precipitation over eastern Scotland has given us occasional snow grains overninght. Last night's air frost has eased as temperatures have risen slightly across Scotland. 4 C in Orkney, 2 C in Aberdeen, Leuchars, northern Scotland and 0 C here in Edinburgh. It's still well below freezing in Glasgow and The Borders though

Yes, an ongoing thaw here currently, as this looks like being the mildest day in this cold spell here. With an easterly muck component I would expect today’s precipitation in this region to be wet rather than white away from higher inland areas.
