European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites

EUMETSAT's primary objective is to establish, maintain and exploit European systems of operational meteorological satellites.

The satellites gather data on weather, climate, and the environment on a 24/7 basis. The data and images help weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and the detection of environmental changes.

Update frequency

High-resolution infrared, GeoColour and lightning composites: every 10 minutes.

True colour, snow, fog and airmass products: every 1 hour.
