UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Apr 2017 to Tuesday 11 Apr 2017:

After a cold start to Sunday it should turn drier for all, with some good spells of sunshine. We could see the cloud thicken from the west later, with some rain in the far northwest. By early next week, high pressure will begin to build in from the southwest bringing drier, brighter weather with some sunny spells, particularly in the south. It'll stay more unsettled in the northwest however, and it will be windy here, with the risk of coastal gales later in the period. There will be some drier interludes here also though. It will also feel warm in any spring sunshine, particularly in the south and east. It may then turn more generally unsettled later in the period.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 12 Apr 2017 to Wednesday 26 Apr 2017:

Much of this period will see a good deal of settled and dry weather across the UK, especially in the south. We are however likely to see unsettled conditions with cloud, rain and strong winds particularly affecting the far north and west of the UK at times. Such unsettled spells of weather are expected to be short-lived though. Temperatures are likely to be warmer than average, but with rather chilly nights at times, leading to frost in places. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived too, although there some hints that these may become more prevalent later in the month.

Met office update

UK Outlook for Monday 3 Apr 2017 to Wednesday 12 Apr 2017:

Monday is likely to be cloudy with bands of rain and strong winds in the north-west. These may well spread into central areas later in the day. However, the south-eastern half of the UK will probably stay dry all day with sunny spells. Temperatures will stay above normal everywhere and it is likely to be warm in the east. By midweek, high pressure will become more dominant and the dry, bright weather will spread to the whole country for a few days. Winds will be light nearly everywhere. The best of the sunshine and the warmest temperatures will be in the south, with more cloud in the north. More changeable weather will probably become established by the start of the following week, especially in the north-west.

UK Outlook for Thursday 13 Apr 2017 to Thursday 27 Apr 2017:

The middle of April may see more unsettled conditions for a while with short periods of cloud, rain and strong winds particularly affecting the north and west of the UK. Dry and calm conditions are more likely to dominate, especially in the south and later in the month. Temperatures are expected to be warmer than average, but with rather chilly nights at times, leading to frost in a few places. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived too, although there are some hints that these may become more prevalent later in the month.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 4 Apr 2017 to Thursday 13 Apr 2017:

Tuesday will be largely cloudy but rather warm, with some light and patchy rain, but it will become drier and brighter by Wednesday, although cooler. By midweek, high pressure will become more dominant and the dry, bright weather will spread across much of country for a few days, with light winds. The greatest risk of thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain will be in the northwest, and the best of the sunshine and the warmest temperatures will be in the south. A good deal of settled and dry weather is then likely, especially in the south where it will be warm. More changeable weather will affect the northwest especially though, with some rain and strong winds at times.

UK Outlook for Friday 14 Apr 2017 to Friday 28 Apr 2017:

The middle of April may see more unsettled conditions for a while with short periods of cloud, rain and strong winds particularly affecting the north and west of the UK. Dry and calm conditions are more likely to dominate though, especially in the south and then later in the month for many. Temperatures are expected to be warmer than average, but with rather chilly nights at times, which will lead to frost in a few places. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived however, although there are some hints that these may become more prevalent later in the month.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Apr 2017 to Friday 14 Apr 2017:

High pressure will be influencing most if not all of the UK at the start of this period, bringing plenty of dry and increasingly sunny weather. The exception to this is the far north and south which may be cloudy and damp at first. However, with the strong spring sunshine any early mist and fog will clear quickly and it will become rather warm by day, although the nights may still be chilly at times. Towards the end of this period we may start to see more changeable weather spreading in from the west. However any rain and stronger winds are more likely to be in the west and north-west, with a predominantly dry weather continuing across the south.
UK Outlook for Saturday 15 Apr 2017 to Saturday 29 Apr 2017:

The middle of April may see more unsettled and slightly colder weather for a time, with outbreaks of rain and stronger winds especially towards the north and west. However, drier and brighter weather is more likely to dominate across the south and this should then extent to most areas as we head through towards the end of the month. Overall, temperatures are expected to be warmer than average, although we may see some chilly nights at times, with occasional frost. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived although there is a chance that these will be more prevalent later in the month.

UK Outlook for Thursday 6 Apr 2017 to Saturday 15 Apr 2017:

High pressure will be influencing most if not all of the UK at the start of this period, bringing plenty of dry and increasingly sunny weather. The exception to this is the far north, where it will be cloudier with a little rain or drizzle at times. With the strong spring sunshine any overnight mist and fog will clear quickly in the mornings and it will become rather warm by day, although the nights may still be chilly at times. Towards the end of this period we may start to see colder and more changeable weather spreading in from the west. However any rain and stronger winds are more likely to be in the west and north-west, with a predominantly dry weather continuing across the south and south-east.

UK Outlook for Sunday 16 Apr 2017 to Sunday 30 Apr 2017:

The middle of April may see more changeable and slightly colder weather for a time, with outbreaks of rain and stronger winds especially towards the north and west. However, drier and brighter weather is more likely to dominate across the south and this should then extend to most areas as we head through towards the end of the month. Nevertheless, occasionally wetter spells cannot be completely ruled out, with this risk mainly around the peripheries of the UK. Overall, temperatures are expected to be warmer than average, although we may see some chilly nights at times, with occasional frost. Any colder spells are likely to be short-lived although there is a chance that these will be more prevalent later in the month.

UK Outlook for Monday 17 Apr 2017 to Monday 1 May 2017:

Changeable and slightly colder weather is likely through the middle of April, with outbreaks of rain or showers, turning wintry at times, and stronger winds especially towards the north and west. However, drier and brighter weather is more likely to dominate across the south and this should then extend to most areas as we head through towards the end of the month and into the beginning of May. Nevertheless, occasionally wetter spells cannot be completely ruled out, with this risk mainly around the peripheries of the UK. Overall, after a colder interlude, temperatures are expected to return to average or perhaps warmer than average for the rest of this period, although we may see some chilly nights, with occasional frosts.

UK Outlook for Friday 7 Apr 2017 to Sunday 16 Apr 2017:

High pressure will continue to bring plenty of dry weather across much of the UK through Friday and into next weekend. The exception to this is the far north, where it will be cloudier with a little rain at times. With the strong spring sunshine any overnight mist and fog will clear quickly in the mornings and it will become rather warm by day, although the nights may still be chilly at times. Into the following week and through the rest of this period we are likely to see a slow change to colder and more changeable weather spreading in from the northwest. However any heavy rain, wintry showers and stronger winds are more likely to be in the north-west, with a predominantly dry weather continuing across the far south-east.

Countryfile weather just said don't put the woollies away just yet as its likely to get cold again next week with a chance of snow on northern hills.
ECM suggests we could do very well to the start of next week

Though it may become quite wet thereafter, and there's that colder weather just off Scotland
