Met office update
UK Outlook for Monday 17 Apr 2017 to Monday 1 May 2017:
Changeable and slightly colder weather is likely through the middle of April, with outbreaks of rain or showers, turning wintry at times, and stronger winds especially towards the north and west. However, drier and brighter weather is more likely to dominate across the south and this should then extend to most areas as we head through towards the end of the month and into the beginning of May. Nevertheless, occasionally wetter spells cannot be completely ruled out, with this risk mainly around the peripheries of the UK. Overall, after a colder interlude, temperatures are expected to return to average or perhaps warmer than average for the rest of this period, although we may see some chilly nights, with occasional frosts.
UK Outlook for Friday 7 Apr 2017 to Sunday 16 Apr 2017:
High pressure will continue to bring plenty of dry weather across much of the UK through Friday and into next weekend. The exception to this is the far north, where it will be cloudier with a little rain at times. With the strong spring sunshine any overnight mist and fog will clear quickly in the mornings and it will become rather warm by day, although the nights may still be chilly at times. Into the following week and through the rest of this period we are likely to see a slow change to colder and more changeable weather spreading in from the northwest. However any heavy rain, wintry showers and stronger winds are more likely to be in the north-west, with a predominantly dry weather continuing across the far south-east.
