UK Outlook for Monday 27 Mar 2017 to Wednesday 5 Apr 2017:

Monday and Tuesday are expected to be dry, fine and settled as high pressure dominates. Most places will become rather warm by day, although there will be overnight frosts and early morning fog for some. Predominately light winds, but southernmost parts becoming windy, with a brisk north-easterly wind, which will make it feel cold. It will stay mainly dry, fine and settled throughout the rest of the week. However, the far west and northwest will most likely see cloudier and wetter conditions, accompanied by strong winds. Temperatures will stay generally rather warm, and frosts are less likely later in the week. The start of April will probably stay mainly dry and settled, though there is an increased chance of some unsettled spells, mainly in the north-west.

UK Outlook for Thursday 6 Apr 2017 to Thursday 20 Apr 2017:

Much of this period is likely to see high pressure remaining close to or over the UK for the most part. This will bring drier and somewhat warmer conditions than normal for the time of year. If this is the case it is likely that we will see a greater spread in temperatures from day to night, with the risk of overnight frosts continuing for some. However, there may be bouts of unsettled weather at times too, most likely in the west or north-west of the UK, but these will probably be short-lived, as will any colder spells.

The most unsettled conditions are likely to be across north-western parts, where it will be wet and windy at times, with gales in places. Meanwhile, much of southern and eastern parts will hold onto the driest conditions, although even here some rain and windier conditions are likely. Temperatures will stay generally rather warm, and frosts becoming less likely. The start of April will see a good deal of settled and dry weather across the UK, with unsettled conditions likely in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Friday 7 Apr 2017 to Friday 21 Apr 2017:

Much of this period will see a good deal of settled and dry weather across the UK. Judging by the extremely cool and unsettled GFS that has been consistently showing very unsettled weather coming up i would expect this to change any time soon.

BBC monthly outlook

Monday 27 March—Sunday 9 April
Will the sunshine last?

After a warm and settled weekend dominated by high pressure, the coming week's weather pattern looks a little more mobile. We'll start the week on a mostly dry note but heavy showers will push up from the south during Tuesday, followed by a rather wetter and windier theme for the end of the week. Temperatures will remain warmer than average though, with a few spots across eastern England reaching the high teens. By the weekend, high pressure will try to re-establish itself leaving sunshine and showers for most.

Monday 3 April—Sunday 16 April
A north-west / south-east split.

As we head through the first full week of April it should turn drier and brighter across the south and east of the UK as high pressure returns. However, it will probably remain on the wet and windy side across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. Temperatures should be slightly above average for many, and quite warm across south-eastern England.

Monday 10 April—Sunday 30 April
What about the rest of April?

Moving through April, a good deal of dry, settled weather is likely, especially for southern parts of the UK, with a more unsettled picture further north and west. Some wet and windy weather may well make it across the UK at times but such spells are likely to be short-lived. It looks as though it will stay warm too, although frosts may become a little more commonplace later in the month.

Next week

March wasn't especially windy, but will April's showers bring forth May flowers? Find out next week.

UK Outlook for Saturday 1 Apr 2017 to Monday 10 Apr 2017:

This weekend will start bright and breezy with showers, particularly on Saturday, these turning heavy and thundery in places. By Sunday it should turn drier for all, with some good spells of sunshine. Rain may spill into the southwest later in the day but for all the weekend will feel cooler than this week, with overnight frosts possible. By early next week, high pressure will begin to build in from the southwest bringing drier, brighter weather with some sunny spells, particularly in the southeast. Meanwhile the northwest is likely to remain unsettled with spells of rain or showers and strong winds at times, but there will be some drier interludes too. Feeling warm in any spring sunshine, particularly in the south and east.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 11 Apr 2017 to Tuesday 25 Apr 2017:

Much of this period will see a good deal of settled and dry weather across the UK. We are however likely to see unsettled conditions with cloud, rain and strong winds particularly affecting the far north and west of the UK at times.
