We will have to wait and see. But perhaps the official CET could be anything from 3.85C up to 4C.
Here's hoping
So we may find that my estimate of 3.85C for January may be too low given there were some very cold minimums at Pershore in January. Although having said that Rothamsted had the colder nights last month whereas I think Pershore did back in 2010. We will have to wait and see. But perhaps the official CET could be anything from 3.85C up to 4C.
I'm not going to object if it goes up to 4C .
As far as the review, I think you are probably correct that they are only looking at the presentation. It was the author of the WUWT article that interpreted it as meaning they were going to review the adjustments.
Jan confirmed as 0.1c above the 61 to 90 averagehttp://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html
Excellent news that the CET is now officially published. Life without CET updates was proving tough
So I was not too far out with my estimation then in the end. 3.95C it is. A downwards adjustment of 0.50C from the provisional figure. Not unprecedented as I have seen similar adjustments before.
Here are the updated and final tables and charts for January and also a look at winter so far. We are slightly above average. Too early if it stays that way. All eyes on whether we get a further cold plunge in the second half of February.

Thanks as ever GW. Probably the best CET competition in the world.
