So, after being awoken by some heavy rain (drumming on the flat roof), I soon drifted back to sleep. It then turns out that for the first time in years I've awoken to an unexpected snow cover, barely. And yes, there was just the faintest suggestion of that lighter look to things as the lamp post reflected from the snow.
The temperature reached 2.6C in the heavy rain, then fell back to 0.8C as presumably it turned to splodgy snow.
It's now 0.3C, dew -0.1C, with more echoes on the radar headed this way.
So here, in all its glory, is the Leysdown snow. Amazing eh? 😄
