Lot of Midlanders posters also routing for the snow to move NW to Midlands area if the fog get lost in the first place.  I see that Slough and Reading bone dry so far.

It’s not supposed to but currently it seems a bit further west than modelled. Still hasn’t reached here yet but I’m hopeful.

Stopped snowing now, although there is still some light precipitation in the air. About 4.5cm, and temps still at zero. Arguably the biggest snowfall IMBY for about 10 years...

And execeptional event for location in east London. Must be close now to 4 inches.

The best snowfall I’ve since for a good 12 years. Still snowing moderately.

Heading to bed. We generally missed the heaviest snow here having been l most at the centre of the pivot point. So very light snow, but for about 6 hours all told. Still looks like about 3-4cm out there. Would’ve liked more but feared we would miss altogether so I’ll take that. Chance for more through the night and no thaw so happy enough.

Still snowing moderately here, but the snowflakes are finer than earlier. I'm off to bed soon, expecting to wake up to what we already have. However, I was expecting to go to bed green, and wake up white! That all changed at 5.45 this evening, so who knows?;
Great evening of snow 😎

A wonderful pristine 6cm here in S.Essex after nearly 4 hours of sometimes heavy snow. Settled on pretty much everything though temp just above freezing. Met Office yellow warning seems to have got the regions about right although I suspect it wasa bit heavier than they thought.

today absolutely proves, and it should be on the TWO record, that models are useless at these small events and +12 best you can hope for. so much for a dry spell and I aint being IMBY

Should swing far enough west for you before it stalls and fizzles into the morning.

There's quite a sharp difference in snow depths across London. I have an inch or so here in W11.

Just hoping that I get home tomorrow. Due to leave from Stansted tomorrow afternoon. Stansted is closed🙄

Well Stansted airport is shut  not surprised we must have 10cm now and still hammering down. Probably the most snow I've had here since we moved from north London over 8 years ago.
