Decent covering here but not measured depths yet. Looks like Arpege did well but UKV undershot amounts locally at least.

Woke up to find a thin covering on all surfaces including roads. Probably not even a centimetre but enough to turn everything white so nice to see.

My works Xmas party was supposed to be in London tonight but cancelled due to train strikes.  A greater pity now as could have got my snow fix in London ( who would have thought it) .
Seems like a historic event for some.

Same. It was quite amusing reviewing last nights radar sequence to see the dregs of the system dissipate just as it approached this area.

The snow here has held up well overnight, but the drip drip sound is already starting. However, still laying across all surfaces.

An exceptional event, and warranted at least an orange warning.

Surprisingly chilly night here at -1.6c (currently -1.4c) so no melting to speak of although as expected the road has melted off where it had previously been gritted. Not sure if they've been out gritting overnight as well.

Couple of front and back shots:
Snow!

The East Kent warm sector certainly delivered here - 2cm of slush. An utterly foul start to this morning.

Here too. First lying snow at the new pad, <0.5cm but just enough to make everything look a bit magical.

My parents in Warlingham on top of the North Downs reporting a good couple of inches of bone dry this morning. Here, in Stoneleigh, Warks, a recent flurry of bone dry has covered most surfaces.

As soon as the fog lift some light snow here give a dusting and very slight breeze from the east.   if the fog wasn't here yesterday and last night I would had seen lot of snow cover here.  Fog don't form under LP only under HP Invesion type.

Incidentally it never fails to amaze me just how readily snow melts in this country. It's reached the giddy heights of +1.3C (having risen by 0.5C in the past 7 hours), yet the deeper patches of snow, such as they were, have all but gone now.

There's not even any wind this time, but that dewpoint of +0.9C seems to be an absolute snow-melter.
