Will be out today visiting relations..... so Hadley will come later from someone..

Those numbers all seem to have gone down. Seems odd, given yesterday looked very warm (I'm abroad so enjoying it vicariously at the moment).

Hadley CET flat at 17.5C. 18C seems unlikely now but let's see after today.

The CET went over 20C again today for the third time this year by my calculations. Remaining hot for the next few days but a slight cool down starts Sunday. At the moment the output is not supporting a significant warm up again next week.

That could change but for now my estimate of the finishing CET has gone down to 17.76C. It now looks very unlikely that we will reach 18C this month.

Looks like we're going to fall just short of the magic 18c!

Phew so we've hit it - I am not surprised really. Been really quite hot here for a week now - and some very warm nights as well.

Regretably it doesn't look as though we're going to be able to stay there, with a few cooler nights next week and the probable downward correction.

By my calculations the CET currently stands at 17.67C. Hadley provisional is at 17.96C.

After three consecutive days of 20C+ CET means (and a total of 5 for the month) we may get close again today. The CET should move up to 17.74C.

From tomorrow onwards the CET will actually start to drift down very slowly and I currently expect the final figure to come in at 17.66C.

We had pretty warm minima in the CET regions last night and the forecast for today is for low-mid 20s so I wonder if we'll get another final increase after today before things start to slip.

Tuesday-Thursday now looking quite warm too, although more confined to the SE than the recent warm spell. The CET is more of a Central-Western England temperature. Rothamsted aside all the stations are in the West of the country.

The CET will probably be fairly static today. Might see a very small rise of a couple of hundredths if the maximums do top 25C today at the southern CET stations.

The rest of the month still looks fairly average to be honest. Pleasantly warm yes but nowhere near the heat of last week. The mean at Stonyhurst will push the overall CET down quite a bit so as I say average at best.

Best guess at this point is a 17.7C finish.

My rough calculations produce a final CET for July of 17.76C

If that verifies it will be the third warmest July since 1995
