Orange warning for major storms to hit Cyprus and low maxes that I never seen before for tomorrow at 30C from Rik weather report online video at end of their Greek news. I never see 30C being forecast tomorrow previous lowest was 32c after the storm in 25th August 1990 that dropped to 30C. This seem more stronger and widespread that the coasts usually don't get rain will be hit too. Today Nicosia was 39.5c and tomorrow to drop to 30C which I am hoping to see 29C as a max as i never seen 29C in July or August before. There was once did in early July 1992 after severe cold winter at 28.6C from the old Wunderground site.
Need to translate to English to read, Exciting time to see the low maxes tomorrow really want to see 29C if can be possible, the clouds need to form early like it did in 1990 when it was 30C at 10.30am before it got cloudy and rain came at 11.15 to 23c and stayed 26-27C all afternoon under overcast skies until 5.30pm clearance. That morning I was walking outside and seeing first 2 clouds forming in the west at 8.30am so that took 2 hours to cloud over.
I wonder what the reaction from the tourists being stuck inside their hotels and not expected to see this over coastal areas in summer.

Thursday's reading was also the highest temperature recorded in Spain so far this year - most unusually unseasonal.

Spain matches September heat record at 45.7C as extreme heat grips country

I am hoping to see the last 40C tomorrow for the conservatory as it never reach 40C yet in September. Once again no one is interested with tomorrow hot weather which I been looking forward for days after a poor wet 2nd half of August.

One wet day and a shower (as was the case here) makes the last half of August drier and warmer than normal. An IMBY comment from me - and from you.
You avoided the stinky rain showers which was a pest, only 1 day thunderstorm and one day frontal rain, if to take into account to remove rain showers which was every day I only woulde get 2 wet days. Rain showers are no longer recogized and not recorded when i had the data before. They are horrible, stink and no sun afterward unlike in April you see sharp blue skies, black clouds approaching with clear view of downdraft then avrils when passed, and smell extremely fresh with sun come out.
Meanwhile again rain in Troodos and same as yesterday which is surreal to see nearly every day rain in the mountains as if the mountain's climate changed to tropical type climate with daily rain and thundrestorms.

Highest ever Spanish sea temp recorded by a buoy off Majorca, 33C.
No surprise there. It'd be interesting to hear whether any UK records had been broken - I suspect they must have been, as SSTs were above 20C for months locally (late June to early September), peaking at 23C on the coarse-gridded analysis charts on MC. The SST is still 19C off Sheppey even now!
Over 37c in France today, plenty more heat to come for them as well. Completely unprecedented year

33C in Paris right now - really not very far away from us and no doubt contributing to the muggy feeling in the south.

42c in Portugal yesterday, crazy
Coming our way perhaps! Moderated of course
They are really lucky to get those real heat without having fakes and clouds issues like this month did in this country for September.
Other news that Nicosia this month got almost every moring 0.1mm to .0.2mm of dew readings and Kita told me that due to very wet summer in the mountians the atmosphere over Cyprus is very moist. Now for a week it going to be very cool and well below average so I think Cyprus heading for a colder wetter winter since 1992 if this going rate of cooling down rapidly early continue.. No heatwave this month for them just a bit above average at times but no 40C recorded this time.

Such a very unusual cool run for prolonged time and this doesn't happened at start of October often at the end with 25th often the switch to much cooler temperatues, normally 33-35c at the start of the month but this run give mid 20's.

Rose-tinted spectacles there? There are no date records in October above 30C, and the Met Office upper end of normal for October is 18C, in the south

Wrong post it about Nicosia’s having very unusual cool 850s for such long periods and rare to see that low in early October. They start off 33C to 35C to low to mid 20s at end of the month. Just imagine if London and Nuneaton have prolonged runs of mid -15C all the way?
180mm of rain in one of the driest places on earth - it's that El Nino again
