Sheltering and the foehn effect determining the UK hot spots today, while in France it looks to be entirely down to a strong foehn effect. The usually cooling tramontane wind has turned against the locals of the Provence region, where typically good weather fortune (often fine and sunny but not oppressively hot) has been sorely interrupted.
Here, it's into the 27s and with lower humidity than of late. Feels almost Californian in the wind. Albeit a poor-man's interpretation of it!
Speaking of which, some good lulls in that now with only light, variable airflow - timed one at over over 90 seconds during lunch.
