Rain mostly in the north

Fair weather

High pressure is expected to build from the Azores towards the UK in the next few days. Rain is most likely in the north west with drier conditions in the south east.

Bank Holiday Monday begins with patchy outbreaks of rain in central and northern regions but in the south it is dry. Through the day wet weather pushing northwards into Scotland. In the south sunny spells develop but this afternoon thundery showers may break out in the south east.

Temperatures range from about 15C (59F) in wet parts of the north to a warm 25C (77F) in the south east. See the rainfall and lightning radar and UK weather report map for the latest view.

Tonight it gradually becomes drier in Scotland. Elsewhere it will be fine but by the morning wet weather spreads into Northern Ireland.

Tomorrow rain moves eastwards across central and northern regions but it becomes patchy. The south has a reasonable day with bright spells but it won't be as warm as recently.

The rest of the working week brings quite a lot of dry and sunny weather to southern and eastern regions but showers are possible. Northern and western areas remain more changeable with a risk of rain at times. Buzz looks ahead to June. The TWO summer forecast will be issued shortly.
