Easter Sunday begins with outbreaks of rain in the north west. Elsewhere it is dry.
Through the day wet weather steadily spreads southeastwards, reaching much of central and northern Britain by the early afternoon. Southern England and north eastern Scotland should remain dry and bright. This evening the rain pushes into East Anglia and possibly the south east. Clearer conditions follow on from the northwest.
Temperatures will be disappointing, ranging from 8C (46F) in the far north west to 15C (59F) in the south east. See the radar for the latest view.
Tonight patchy spells of rain gradually clear southeastwards. In the north clear spells allow temperatures to drop sharply and a widespread frost forms.
Tomorrow begins bright and cold in the north, but in the south a cloudier scene is expected. As we head through the day sunny spells, but in the north showers develop and it will be cold enough for them to fall as snow at times. Overnight a widespread and potentially damaging frost is possible.
During the middle of the week high pressure reasserts itself, so a lot of fine weather is in prospect but the nights remain cold. Next weekend another plunge of cold air could sweep down from the north. Buzz looks at the frost risk in the next few days.
