The south east of the UK begins cold with patchy frost and fog. In other regions it's milder and in the north there are light outbreaks of rain.
Through the day it stays dry and cold in the south east with some brighter spells developing. Elsewhere it will be milder and cloudier. In the north patchy outbreaks of rain continue and there could be a few heavier bursts in northern England.
Temperatures range from about 3C (37F) in the south east to 11C (52F) in the north west. See the rainfall and precipitation type radar for the latest view.
Tonight frost and fog return to the south east. Elsewhere temperatures should remain above freezing and there could be some drizzle in the north and west.
Tomorrow it could be slightly milder in the south east as cloud and drizzle push down from the north. In northern regions there is a better chance of sunny spells.
Through the second half of the week changes in the weather will be slow as high pressure remains dominant. It is likely to be quite chilly in the south east and in other areas temperatures edge downwards. The risk of nighttime frosts probably becomes more widespread.
The current guidance for next week suggests a transition to unsettled and milder weather. There is some uncertainty and there remains a possibility of high pressure bringing further dry spells to the southern half of the country. Buzz takes a look at the prospects.
