Now at 15 mm, and there is a distinct eggy odour in the air. I think the roadside drains have been taken by surprise.

A book-end type month in terms of precipitation. Big rain on the first day with over an inch, little dribs and drabs (trace amounts to 0.3 mm) throughout the month and now this big rain again.

This ought to kick start my re-seeded extended back yard.

1.4mm overnight and just 0.4mm from today's convection so far! Just a few miles further S and E I suspect they may have had a little more today!  At least the frontal rain has been delivering! Was a bit surprised when digging out some deep roots today that it was dry just 6 inches down on this sandy soil .. as I've mentioned before, quite a fair amount has fallen here in small amounts and has been quickly absorbed by thirsty plants or has evaporated!

Total above average tho' - now at 78.9mm.
