Happy Easter! And though you (and indeed most of the UK) may have conned yourself into getting up and going to bed an hour earlier, I sure haven't. 20 years in a row of staying on GMT year round - say "no" to clock-tinkering! 😀
As for the weather, it's mellow... a bit of mist, a lot of cloud, and calm. 9.7, dew 8.6, after a high of 13.7 and a low of 6.0 yesterday.
I note today's expected deluge has been downgraded to a bit of drizzle, so it'll be a mostly dry day here.
That's really what UTC is of course, although that is officially regarded as a time standard rather than an actual time zone.
Down south though, there's known to be a lot of people who would even rather be in BST all year round rather than GMT so that winter afternoons aren't as dark.
Up here though, that would lead to the Sun not even rising until nearly 10am on the day of the winter solstice and that isn't exactly something which I would be looking forward to in any way.
As regards to the weather, the Sun is still shining brightly here in Edinburgh with only some very high cloud around but looking out over the Firth of Forth and to my east, there are now some bits and pieces of easterly muck which look ready to close in at the very earliest opportunity.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
