Last night was colder than it has been for a while with an official air frost at all three of my local stations for the first time in a very long time, and with the temperature at Edinburgh Airport getting down to around -3°C.

This morning has started off with quite a lot of cloud around though, but with some fairly decent sunny intervals as well.

Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh was around 1°C as at 8:30am GMT (08:30 UTC) this morning.

Bright clear frosty start . But yet more rain from 1130 am until 3.30 pm and cold with it 5 c most of the day    4th wet day in a row and now passed 200mm in Feb.
