Light rain, 10.8 after a low of 10.3 overnight. Yesterday's high was 13.8 and there's been 17mm of rain so far from this system - my lawn now has several small puddles, which is impressive considering it's on a slight incline!

After moderate rain all night it's now stopped but looks ready to start any time. the temperature feeling mild at 11.2c. a bit of a breeze but still feeling warm. The amount of rain has filled the river Frome to bursting and has flooded in many areas, mainly the roads into Frome, this is twice in a month so very rare, well I've never seen it flood twice in a month in the 54 years I've lived here, normally once a year or two years, a sign of things to come maybe.

25 mm of rain overnight which is a lot for here. There's going to be flood problems in some areas this week I suspect.

Really warm in the sun which came out late morning - my outside thermometer, in the shade but may get some re-radiated heat from the wall of the house, now up to 17.3C

Nowhere near that warm here, 13.5 (max so far 14.0) after some really torrential showers - peak rate 100.2mm/hour!

It's very unusual to get that sort of summer-style convective downpour in February.

Likewise Shoreham Airport. Today's date record is out of sight at 18.3C but tomorrow's date record is only 17.3C - and that as far back as 1891. So maybe ... ?
