Yesterday we had sun but it only got to 15C, today heavy cloud again and it's about 10C - and it won't get much higher as cloud is set in for the day with stiff NE wind.

The East/West split continues. Another cold, bleak, windy morning here which will turn into a pleasant but not very warm sunny afternoon. I honestly can't remember such unusual weather manifesting itself in an identical way each day for so many consecutive days. must be something like 10 now. The only way it can be changed is for me to take a break in the SW !

Another very pleasant day - sunny, breezy, 15.3 after a high so far of 16.2.

I'm really going to miss this when it all changes this weekend.

Full sun from about 1pm today but a cold NE wind. It's reached 15.5 C on my digital garden thermometer which is well shaded. My worry is that over the next few days as more humid, warmer air is advected northwards, Edinburgh will be plagued by haar 🤔

Today was much sunnier in the end than what I had expected it to be with a total of 7.77 hours of sunshine as at 9pm BST (20:00 UTC) this evening.

Despite that very strong afternoon and evening sunshine though, the temperatures have just kept on refusing to rise here with today's maximum temperature only reaching 15.74°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and a rather abysmal 14.5°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh,😡

Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh as at 9pm BST (20:00 UTC) this evening was around 12°C.

Same old cloud again this morning.
Met Office seem more optimistic that it will clear late morning and be a better day than yesterday, but the satellite doesn't look great so far.

Same old story here in Edinburgh yet again with yet another dull and overcast start to yet another day and in fact, it is easy to just give my report on the day's weather just by copying and pasting the previous day's report.

It never used to be like that back in the days when the weather used to be more changeable but that's how tediously predictable and repetitive our weather has become these days.😡

Currently around 12°C here in Edinburgh.

10.3C here with very dark cloud, however NE wind is so light there is a good chance it will burn back by early afternoon.

Once again, the Sun has broken through quite nicely here in Edinburgh but once again, the temperature still continue to refuse to rise here.😡

Currently around 15°C here in Edinburgh but just a measly 13.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh so I thank we can very safely say that for now at least, this so-called "summer" have very much become an almost complete non-event here in this part of the world.😡

Thinking to myself it's feeling very warm this afternoon expecting to local temperatures if 26C or just over but nope circa 25C. But dew points are on the up now into the low-mid teens... The plume from the continent has arrived along with milky blue skies.

Another very pleasant summer's day: sunny, a breeze from the NE and 15.2C, after a high of 16.0C earlier. I would happily have an entire summer like this (with some rain every now and again), but as it's going to turn muggy in a couple of days I'm making the most of it!

The last few days have cooled a bit, but they've still been very sunny around here (yesterday remained cloudy until early afternoon, mind you). Today has been lovely as well, sunshine and a high of 18.0°C.

That said, roll on some proper warmth this weekend!

It's now coming up to 2pm here in Edinburgh, and there are still no signs of the Sun making any sort of appearance even though the Sun had already broken through long before now on the last couple of days.

In addition to that, it's also ridiculously cool for this time of the year with a temperature of just 13.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and to be honest, I've seen higher temperatures than that at this time of the day (and sometimes even during the night) in the middle of winter!!😡

Absolutely pathetic!!😡

It looks as though my last comment has just gave everything here a good kick up the back side as a few hints of brightness are now finally starting to appear here in Edinburgh which suggests that the Sun might actually be in the process of breaking through here at long last!!
