Following a rather dull first day of this summer, the following two days were much sunnier with a total of 13.03 hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank during Friday and then a total of 12.95 hours of sunshine at that same station during yesterday.
That makes Friday our sunniest day of this summer so far although neither of those totals were enough to give us our sunniest day of this year.
The last couple of days have also been bit warmer here and yesterday gave us our first maximum temperature of this summer of 20°C or higher (albeit only just) as the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank reached 20.2°C,
However, that wasn't enough to give us our warmest day of this year.
As for today, there are some decent sunny spells around here in Edinburgh as I write, but with some bits and pieces of easterly muck also continuing to be blown in from off the North Sea at times.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 10am BST (09:00 UTC) this morning was around 15°C here in Edinburgh.
