Now that the earlier rain has cleared away, I can confirm that this month's totals as at 1pm GMT (13:00 UTC) were 39.6 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 43.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

This now means that just at least another 12.8 mm of rain needs to fall at Edinburgh Gogarbank between now and the end of this month in order for this month to go down as being wetter than average there in terms of the actual rainfall amounts with just at least another 6.8 mm of rain needing to fall at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh within that same time period in order for that same outcome to occur there.
