Rain now turned to sleet with some largish flakes of snow mixed in.

Now it's snowing, no snow forecast that I know of, what weird weather we have.

Short but sweet here. Watched it shrink and bend around us on the radar for a while then had a short 10 minute flurry with some decent flakes. Amounted to nothing on the ground really.

That was pretty bonkers how it all has avoided us.... gritter lorry just gone out despite skies clearing and hardly anything fallen from the skie... like almost nothing fell

Bright echoes all around but near us

Light flurries and the odd flake since 1 o clock but now it’s coming faster.

Had another bout of heavy snow just now.
We have about 3-4cm on grass but it is dripping from trees and is the wet stuff compared with this morning's powdery snow. Haven't increased depth since lunchtime despite persistent snow.
Strangely the hills a couple of miles NW of here are green whereas looking east, North Leeds is white. Think that is because they missed out this morning snow when it was less marginal.

Plenty of snow showers rattling through here. A light covering of about 0.5cm.

An initial shower of graupel helped with the settling.

We’ve missed the heavier showers but still nice to look at.

From December 27th 2020, zonality will be banned from mixing with the UK. We appreciate that this may come as a shock to younger people and old Uncle Barty. This ban will last for a minimum of ten days.

My time-lapse for today: a cold winter's day, starting out with a thick hoar frost this morning, before snow showers move in during the afternoon.
