Let's see if there's a wider distribution of snow this month. Suggestions are that the end of the month might be more generous in that respect, but who knows?

Snowing quite heavily here in NW Leeds. Everything is white and the roads are covered. Huge flakes so it seems to have covered everything really quickly - we still had a few patches of icy snow left from last week.

The BBC are now forecasting heavy snow showers this afternoon. That’s come out of the blue!

Carrying on from the last thread, I was asleep when it snowed here earlier on this morning, but everything is looking stunning here in the north of Edinburgh with the Sun shining over a fresh covering of snow and you couldn't ask for anything better than that at this time of the year.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

All this talk about dew points being too high and it’s snowing here now

Fantastic little snowfall so far.

Hit some heavy bits with the outer band. 2.5cm of fluffy powdery snow.

Yup, sitting outside in the snow and the sunshine - it's like I imagine a skiing holiday is like, but less braying

Sky looking very ominous to my NNE. Cold and frosty out there, 0C/0C, radar looks good.

Potential for another Manchester snow event in the next hour or so.

Lots of snow reports coming in from across Northern England over the past few hours, including on the north Lancs coast.

Glad Leeds has seen snow too.

What’s the temp in St Helens?

@saint snow the radar looks extremely good for your patch.  A bit gappy towards east Manchester..

West Manchester/East Merseyside look perfectly placed for this one.

Heavy snow here, readily accumulating. Doesn't seem like we're best placed for later on so I'll take what we can get now!
