I guesstimate that we had 7-8 cm here this morning, readily settling on all surfaces. It was impressively heavy for a while. I think it may have been our deepest fall since Jan 2013, though my memory is too rubbish these days to be sure. It's certainly more than we had from the Beast. It's thawed a bit since, but there's still a good covering.

Snowing heavily in South Derby again after a period of lighter snow.

Now 17-18cm deep.

Hope it keeps falling - Dartmoor has done well so far - a good covering there too:

Dartmoor faired well for snow - was at least 4" there this morning for sure.

Forgot to add this morning 0800am the hills were covered but on the Quay it was a slushfest on cars and there was very wet snow but mixed with sleet so not really pure snow.

Wet snow/sleet has started again - huge flakes it's 2.0c

This is from this morning, you can see the timestamp in the corner. We had 9cm (just under 4") of snow in 1 hour 20 minutes, and I would estimate about 7cm of that fell in half an hour. Extraordinary stuff! The snowflakes were absolutely huge. Let me present my snowlapse!

Looks like the band is on the move south again. My daughter in south Notts has measured 14 cm and it's still snowing!

Great video. It was a fantastic snowfall wasn’t it? I measured 7cm so a tad less than you (although it was still coming down when I measured it before we left to go and play!) but it was the intensity that made it special.

I woke up at 5am and saw it was still a while away, then got up at 7.30 and there was still nothing. I was willing the frost not to melt before it arrived, and it didn’t, so it settled instantly everywhere. Within a couple of minutes it went from the first light flakes of “hey the snow has started” to “everything has gone white” and then it just hammered it down.
I am envious of the people who had it for hours, reports from Derby of close to 20cm now?

The band looks to be holding together well as it slips south giving some areas a second snowfall!
